COMPANY INFORMATION
Initially founded in 1974 by Robert B. Ludgate, Sr., PE, PLS, and subsequently incorporated in 1986, Ludgate Engineering Corporation (LEC) is a federally certified Section 3 small, multi-disciplined consulting engineering business engaged in providing engineering services, consulting services, environmental services, surveying and mapping, structural design and drafting services to a variety of public and private clients.
A family-owned business, LEC prides itself on its dedicated, long-term associates. All four key management personnel have been with the firm 15 years or more. The versatility of our staff, most of who are cross-trained and perform several functions allows us to adjust schedules and work assignments so that deadlines are always met. Our clients work directly with the engineers and individuals responsible for the project.

As the Principal-In-Charge of Ludgate Engineering Corporation, Mr. Ludgate is responsible for overall project management and the day-to-day operations of the firm. His 47 years of experience includes municipal engineering, civil and structural engineering and land surveying. He provides expert witness services for each field. Additionally, Mr. Ludgate is often called upon to investigate complex structural failures and storm water or flooding concerns. Bob Sr. is involved in the 222 Task Force and is a current member of the Berks County Agricultural Land Preservation board. In 2008, he joined the board of the Berks County Smart Growth Alliance.

Thom manages all subdivision and land development plans produced by Ludgate Engineering. As the chief surveyor, he is an expert in producing ALTA, topographic and boundary surveys as well as construction stakeouts.
Edwin H. Nordahl, II, P.E., Vice President

Thirty-three years of experience in civil and structural engineering related to land development and subdivisions; industrial, commercial and residential buildings; petrochemical plants and oil refineries; military installations; and bridges. Ed is frequently called to investigate complex structural failures and has provided many expert forensic reports.
Peter C. Eisenbrown, P.E., Vice President
Construction Services and Municipal Engineering

Pete supervises various construction services, including bid documents and specifications. Pete also has the primary engineering overview of construction inspection provided on Ludgate Engineering projects, conducts pre-bid and pre-construction meetings, reviews bids, and reviews contractor payment requests. As a municipal engineer, Pete is an expert in streetscape design and construction as well as all other types of municipal projects.

Wayne serves as a municipal consultant representative and sewage enforcement officer. His specialties include environmental consulting and permitting. Wayne was previously employed by the Pennsylvania DEP, Schuylkill County and the Schuylkill River Greenway.
