 THE IMPROVING BUSINESS CLIMATE

The past eighteen months have been difficult for all, and Ludgate Engineering was not unscathed.  We managed, by dint of sacrifices made by both staff and management, to maintain fair to good business health.  To some extent, the difficulties continue, but we have seen a major uptick in new business and business opportunities these past several weeks.  All of our surveyors, engineers, and other staff now are busy with full-time work.  We have several proposals pending which promise to give us still more work.

Therefore, we are now considering options for increasing our productive capacity.  We can gain some added capacity by updating computer systems, adding new surveying equipment, or streamlining some procedures.  However, to add dramatically to our productive capacity, Ludgate Engineering must hire to supplement our existing staff.  The timing of our hiring shall be determined as the additional work materializes.

We are well positioned to add personnel.  At our core we have five well-seasoned professional staff; our youngest Professional Engineer has fourteen years of experience. 

These professionals are well suited to mentor and supervise any new engineers or surveyors we may hire.  Our surveying and cadd technicians are equally suitable to assimilate new additions into their ranks.

Civil Engineer, E.I.T. or P.E. to assist with stormwater management designs, development plans, structural investigations, or a variety of related work.

CADD Technician. This may be an entry-level opportunity for someone with suitable aptitude and technical training, and capable of some design as well as drafting.

Surveying Staff.  We shall consider both entry-level and more experienced staff, including one who may be an S.I.T.
